Strong winds brought down this spruce tree across Young Road in Greensboro on Christmas Eve. Someone cut some off the limbs so one lane of traffic could get through. Phil Greenia, of Greensboro, passes through Saturday before the town of Greensboro Road Crew cleared it out of the roadway. 
Memorial Park in Hardwick shows no snow on Christmas Day with a temperature in the low to mid 50s. 
December 27 brought five to six inches of snow to the Hardwick area. This photo was taken on Spring Street.

Weather 2020: A Sampler of the Peculiar
Weather events of 2020 took a backseat to other major headlines in what turned out to be an odd year. Despite this, several curious events percolated into Vermont’s meteorological record as we look at a smattering of several random weather items.

Holiday Gifts for the Gardener
I love the holiday season: the lights, the carols, the cookies, and more. It’s a good antidote to the news, and to the gray and chilly weather. Last summer many gardening necessities sold out as so many people were quarantined at home and took to gardening.
