St. Michael’s Altar Society Receives Funds

GREENSBORO – Jeannine Young, President of Catholic Financial Life Chapter St. Jean of the Greater Hardwick Area, presented a $500 check to St. Michael’s Altar Society at St. Michael’s Church in Greensboro Bend to benefit Mary Queen of All Saints Parish.

EAST MONTPELIER – Senior advocacy group Twin Valley Senior Center (TVSC) will host a drive-through take-out dinner fundraiser on Friday, Oct 9, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with proceeds to benefit Meals on Wheels.

Adventurers Complete Bayley-Hazen Quest

HAZEN’S NOTCH — The small village of Wells River lies on the west side of the Connecticut River in the town of Newbury. Some fifty miles to the northwest, as the crow flies across northern Vermont, is Hazen’s Notch, a mountain pass in the town of Westfield. Connecting these two points are the remnants of the historic Bayley-Hazen Military Road.

East Hardwick Village Library Readied for Winter

EAST HARDWICK – Restoring and repurposing the East Hardwick Village Library has been a key objective for the East Hardwick Neighborhood Organization (EHNO) since the organization was formed in Fall 2018.
