Pumpkin Walk Will Be Virtual This Year

HARDWICK – Due to the pandemic, the Community Pumpkin Walk cannot be held this year. The Hardwick Trails Committee and the Hardwick Community Television (HCTV) station are partnering to ensure storytelling session will take place with witch Lesa Cathcart.

A video of the pumpkin walk witch telling a story, complete with “green screen” special effects, will be aired starting Wednesday on HCTV’s public access station. It will also be shared on the Hardwick Trails Facebook page and other social media outlets.

Every fall for the last 16 years, the Hardwick Trails Committee volunteers and friends have been harvesting pumpkins and delivering them to Hardwick Elementary School, so every student had a pumpkin to carve and be displayed at the annual pumpkin walk.

During the walk, folks have enjoyed some cider, a donut and bonfire as they stop by to visit the friendly witch of Hardwick for a spooky story.
