East Hardwick Patrols Result in Lots of Speeding Tickets

On Sept. 27, at 5:56 p.m., Jacob B. Phelps, of Craftsbury, was stopped on Breezy Ave. in Greensboro. Police issued a $151 ticket for traveling 50 mph in a 35 mph zone.

On Oct. 3, at 6:50 p.m., Meredith D. Brandt, of Greensboro, was stopped on E. Church St. in E. Hardwick. Police issued a $105 ticket for traveling 44 mph in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 5, at 3 p.m., Jacob Droney, of Hyde Park, was stopped in E. Hardwick. Police issued a $185 ticket for traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 6, at 9:30 a.m., Shannon L. Walker, of Greensboro Bend, was stopped in Greensboro. Police issued a $158 ticket for traveling 46 mph in a 30 mph zone.

On Oct. 6., at 10:04 a.m., Nancy Davis Hill, of Greensboro, was stopped in E. Hardwick. Police issued a $241 ticket for traveling 46 mph in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 6, at 3:55 p.m., Thad B. Shedd Jr., of E. Hardwick was stopped on Church St. in E. Hardwick. Police issued a $185 ticket for traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 7, at 12:51 p.m., Marie A. Beaudry, of Irasburg, Oct. 7, was stopped in E. Hardwick. Police issued a $314 ticket for traveling 54 mph in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 8, at 12:30 a.m., Rebecca C. Agone, of Worcester, was stopped on S. Main St. in Hardwick.

On Oct. 10, at 5:00 p.m., Sophie Claire Fisher, of Colorado Springs, was stopped on Craftsbury Rd. in Greensboro. Police issued a $158 ticket for traveling 61 mph in a 45 mph zone.

On Oct. 10, at 9:41 a.m., Laura Martin-Moran, of Cabot, was stopped in E. Hardwick. Police issued a $250 ticket for traveling 47 mph in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 10, at 9:55 a.m., Meghan L. Rublee, of Wolcott, was stopped in E. Hardwick. Police issued a $185 ticket for traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone.

On Oct. 10, the Hardwick Police Department arrested Brennan Perkins for domestic assault. He was cited into court for Oct. 12.

State Police News

Serious Crash, Sign Stolen

On the morning of October 7, the Vermont State Police Middlesex barracks took a report of a theft of a political sign belonging to Cedric Houston, of Cabot. The sign was stolen between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. the same morning on Cathy Rd. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Keith Lewia at the Vermont State Police Middlesex barracks.

On Oct. 10, at approximately 1:07 p.m., VSP responded to a single vehicle crash with entrapment on LaFont Rd. in the town of Albany. Investigation revealed the operator, identified as Karin Musso of W. Glover, was traveling north on LaFont Rd. in her 2002 GMC Yukon. Evidence at the scene indicated Musso crossed into the southbound lane prior to striking a tree on the west side of the roadway. Musso was extricated from her vehicle by members of the Irasburg and Orleans Fire Departments. Musso sustained serious injuries from the crash and was not wearing her seatbelt at the time. Musso was transported to Irasburg by Glover Ambulance before being airlifted to UVM Medical Center.
